After the recommendation by both Steve and Brooke (THANKS :)), I purchased a few chatterbaits in a variety of colors and let me tell you, this is easily my favorite lure after 3 days of fishing it. There is not a wrong way to fish this bait. I can switch up my technique each cast or in the middle of my retrieve. I saw a few different types and opted on the Zman version after hearing how much others like the particular brand. The white/chart style is easily the best thing i've ever seen swim thru the water. Not gonna lie, I almost wanna jump in and attack it every time my retrieve is almost in. Bass absolutely LOVE to destroy this lure so check it out asap!!!! Few Styles I bought Techniques I've found successful: 1. Burn it back to you, just make sure to keep off of the surface, I tend to lower my rod tip as it gets closer - burn it! 2. Steady retrieve and lift your rod tip up and down as you reel - slight jigging action 3. Pull rod tip up, feel vibration, and then lower tip and reel in the slack, repeat - slow jig 4. Steady retrieve with a pop of the rod every few seconds (throws bait sideways looking very much like an injured fish) - fast jig 5. Slow retrieve - reaches deeper areas - swim it! Remember there's no one way to do it, but know that this bait will not fail you to get big strikes. I've seen my bait burning thru the water back to me to have bass come up and almost breach like a great white shark to crush this bait. VERY exciting fishing! Good luck to those still in the dark about this lure, but you should definitely pick one up next trip to the shop. BIG FISH, BIG SMILES. -Mike ps. heres a decent vid of the bait in action, JIG IT, SWIM IT, BURN IT!

good glad to hear it newark basser.....we've been slaying big bass on this bait for the past few years and the fish have yet to grow tired of it. The best part about it is it works all year round and like you said it can't be fished wrong. However, over time you'll develope little tricks!!!

yesZman in 1/2 oz. chart/wht with gold blade for muddy water . If youre around bass schooling on shad or in clear water with a shad population I throw a silver blade. But most times golds the deal. Recently Ive been buying the strike king perfect skirts in sexy shad and putting them on it and have been nailing them as well. I like the split tail trailer but always experiment with different trailers if u arent catching fish. I like a quick to burning retrieve most times but I will slow down if thats what fish want
