Today's condtions were partly cloudy, 48 degrees and a light wind from the west. Water temperature was 45-46 degrees. This is an man-made impoundment that has a mostly developed shoreline. Almost all the lake has a sandy bottom with moderate weed cover. The only two fish I was able to catch today were just over a pound. The first was on a Lucky Craft Pointer in about 6 feet of water on the southern shore off the beach, and the second was caught with a black 5" Senko drop-shotted off a hump that I was slowly dragging behind the boat. I threw a Tru-life swimbait without success the rest of the time with a variety of retrieves. Not very good results, usually numbers can be caught here but today that was not the case. | |
