At the forrest wood cup, Kevin Hawk won by using a bait iv never seen before, and underspin, with a fluke, I was wondering if anyone has used this bait, and how exactly you work it, ?

It is a Sworming Hornet. I know the guys who own the company personally. I have one tied on to my rod right this very moment that I used yesterday. Do you want this bait? I have one I will send you now? Send me a private message with your mailing address again and I will send out the bait this week. No Charge. It is a jigging bait in deeper water. It is like a blade bait but different especially when you add a fluke to it.

I catch most of my fish on this bait in the spring, water temps below 60 degrees. Mostly smallmouth deep. I just let it settle to the bottom and jig it a few times and slow role it to the boat keeping good contact with the bottom. I also caught some good numbers this fall with it also. Just casting and retrieve. Just like a spinnerbait. The size matches the shad in most lakes here in O-H-I-O

could these also be used in the summer as tides change on the outer edges of grass lines, or deep submerged grass beds during high tide? if i were to use this in this situation should i throw in like a zoom swimming fluke or a money minnow as the trailer?

I suppose you could although I found other baits at that time more effective. You know that the Maryland State record largemouth was caught last year in the Potomac in January in a tournament on a blade bait in the spoils with ice floating on the water right? It was 11 lbs.

You leave Mattawoman and head north to 95/495, it is down from DC on the right acrosss from the airport. It is where all the old concrete blocks are dumped. It is a tournament community hole.

Yep!  Little Hunting Creek, Pohick Bay, and the spoils are where you need to be a lot. also, the Arkendale Flats in the spring, along with Aquia and Potomac Creek.
