If you are not a LIFE member of B.A.S.S. you are missing out on a lot. Rick is going to do this next year, and I would like to see some others who are not fishing a major tournament trail particpate in this if you are serious about making fishing a career.

That would be a great chance for any angler to learn from. Now if they would get a little closer to Ohio I would be in. I am thinking the mystery lake might be close enough... And Rick go for it. 1/2 hour away PRICELESS!!!!

Alton Jones' Day Three catch disqualified 10:14 AM CDT, JUN 30, 2012 | BY TRIP WELDON Alton Jones has been disqualified for today. Jones tried to cut across a flat this morning and got his boat stuck a short distance from take-off. According to BASS rules, your Marshal cannot assist you in any way. After various attempts to get the boat unstuck, Jones, knowing the ramifications, had no choice but to get his Marshal to aid in getting the boat off the bar. He immediately notified BASS officials of his actions. His standing will reflect a zero today.

I feel bad for Alton but isn't surprised that he made that phone call. He's a Class Act !

Hackney struggling, too 11:14 AM CDT, JUN 30, 2012 | BY STEVE WRIGHT There's barely a breeze blowing back in this bay where Greg Hackney is fishing. Hackney is in deep concentration, so we didn't attempt to break it, but his Marshal signaled that Hackney doesn't have a keeper yet.
All the leaders we'd planned on following today have moved off their primary areas, and we can't find anyone else catching fish, so we're putting the boat on the trailer and heading back to Green Bay.
For more on Hackney, check out this video that just came in from Dennis Tietje:

It looks like KVD may actually have a chance at making the cut today.

I would like to know how old you have to be for this too. If there is one close to Ohio next year and you only have to be 18 then I am definitely going to try to do this

No They dont. You have to be 16 for most events unless otherwise stated. BASS OPENS are a boater and a co angler. Its all in the tournament section here for Bassmaster and FLW including High School and college events with fees and all the links, just take a look around you'll see it.

I am going to do this next year as long as there is a tournament somewhat close to Ohio.
