I love these baits.  I would recommend them for sure.  I don't fish them like a swim bait (another bait I dont really consider a swim bait). I use them in place of where I would fish a jig.  Great flipping bait in and around cover.

I consider it a swimbait he is refering to the really big swimbaits I belive, but these are swimbaits in my opinion, just not the traditional or original concept of the big California swimbaits, but a swimbait none the less. lol

Haha yes I usually consider larger baits as swimbaits.  I think it comes down to size, how it's fished and action at times.  Like I said before lots of diff opinions out there of what is and what isn't.

Btw here is an example for ya....I consider the lunker punker 6.5 and 9 to be swim baits where a lot of people don't.  And the smaller 5" to me is not a swim bait.....clear as mud

They definitely work, this 5# was on a white MF in super muddy water! i need to get some more now that i mention it :) Boomah is right i flip mine and pitch them and hop them or deadstick them and then swim them back to the boat, i get crushed sometimes while the bait is swimming but the effectiveness of this bait for me is that it can be pitched and fished in heavy cover.
