Dear Tom, I was referred to this site by steve on facebook and created my account soon after i talked with him. Right after i joined the site, Scotty "spanky" and i started talking and he gave me a lot of info. I started asking him about sponsorship and stuff like that and then told me to contact you so here i am. I would like to know what i need to do being that i have just started my bass fishing career? Thanks, Deric

Hi Deric, Check out these articles and videos here on sponsorship. It will take some time to get through them all, but there is a lot of good advice in there that we compiled over the last year. After reading and watching them, stop by and ask any questions you may have in addition. We will talk more as the year progresses. Good Luck. Click Here SPONSORS<

Assassinators. Time of day has nothing to do with using spinnerbaits.

Yes. Assassinator. Yes, I use them in the afternoon or all day if the conditions are right such as cloud cover and they keep hitting it.

windy conditions are good for spinnerbaits but if you want to try topwater when theres a little chop on the water i always go to a prop bait!

Tom, I'm fishing a tourney in a lake that has homes and docks for each home surrounding the entire lake except for small coves. The lake goes to 40 ft. depth and is stained in clarity. The tourney is March 31st, so I'm guessing based on being on the water recently that the water temp will be 57-62 degrees. What lures would you use throughout the day?

id start with a rattlebait or a chatterbait or some other kind of fast moving search bait. but if theres alot of docks i would use a swimjig or chatterbait or luckycraft 1.5 by the docks and if theres any flats with grass try rattlebait or swimjig and alot of times in spring all these fronts can make the fishing tough sometimes then youll have to slow down and this is when i use a jig-n-pig usally on the first drop they pull back a little deeper good luck i hope this helps!

Tom, you're my man, ha. You've never steered me wrong. If you are in a multi-day tournament, what do you do to keep your trolling motor batteries charged? I know a lot of pro's use a 24V system, which would only really allow 2 12V batteries in the boat at time. Do you carry extra batteries? Or do you have some way of getting charged for the next day?

onboard charger just plug in at the end of everyday, and we use 36volt systems 101lb thrust and motorguide is 109lb thrust , so in my boat i have a 4 bank charger 15amp which charges 4 batterys at a time at 15 amps per hour when pluged in so when i get done fishing for the day i go back to the hotel and just plug in!!!!

Member Posts: 25 | Hi Tom. I have a man made lake in my backyard and I do catch bass back there but it seems like the bass limit me to 1 fish per session. That could be up to a few hours at a time.I don't have a paddle boat so I fish where I can from my property.I can't seem to pick up on a pattern. Its mostly open water with grass on bottom. Any suggestions would help.. thanks
