With all these winter storms rolling through the past couple of weeks, bringing mostly rain followed by mid 40's weather, the bass bite has still been slow. The good news is, the days before the rains are usually in the upper 50's to low 60's and its getting the bass active again, at least a little bit. The latest reports I've heard are of a few fish biting, mostly in the 3 and 4 lb range, which is a lot better than none at all for the past month or so. Hopefully by the end of the month, our southern waters will be warm enough to trigger the pre-spawn feeding frenzy that we all look forward to every year!

It will be just a matter of weeks before it is hot action. | |
