I like it but i like one with more thrust. the 70 isn't enough for me but that is just me. lol I like at least 80 lbs on a boat that is 17 feet or more.

I had a MK 24 volt 55 thrust and now have a MK 24 volt 70 thrust. I love it. I think the MK is better than MG. Mostly because all but one trolling motor has been a MK. It is kind of like ford vs chevy. Everybody has a favorite. Just my 2 cents

Member Posts: 213 | What would you suggest on a 19ft bass boat. I'm definitely going to get a minn Kota

70 lbs is the absolute minimum on that boat. I have it so I am telling you that it is the minimum you will be happy with especially in the rivers.

No difference and on Toms boat the Skeeter, we have a 36 volt 101 and it is just right.

It is way better than what came on it, but yes, I think you would be happier with a 55 12 minimum and I will never have anything but a 24 again on anything over 16 feet, and a 36 over 19, especially in heavy current and boat traffic on the rivers.
