Member Posts: 213 | What's the rule of thumb on how deep to have your trolling motor. I boat a used boat that already had a trolling motor on it. It didnt come with any paperwork on the trolling motor. The boat is rated for 16" of water but it seems like everytime we get into 2 ft The trolling motor in imbedded in the mud. I was just wondering if I should adjust it? | |

YES raise it up ! As long as it doesnt churn or disturb the surface keep raising it. | |
