Are top waters (popper and walking baits) effective during rainy weather?

buzzbaits are killer Right after a summer storm. so is a don Iovino splash it. the splash it is just like the rebel pop R, it $15 and catches 3X the fish the pop R does. lucky craft sammy is a good one to

I am not sure, I usually look for a bridge to fish under.:D I like to use bigger baits when it is raining.

I throw my topwaters on light rain. Most poppers and propbaits. I go subsurface on a heavy downpour though. I can't compete with the rain.

light rain buzzbaits and propbait like a dying flutter work well for me. In a heavy rain I go with subsurface baits more

When its raining and a little chop to the water I have done well with wake bait like a J-11 Rapala brokeback or Manns waker.

Like mentioned previously, in light rain conditions throw a buzzbait. You could also throw a walkling bait as a little commotion on the surface of the water does not disturb their performance but I really like to use poppers, chug bugs, and walking baits after a storm or before!
