I went to Gross lake yesterday with Matt Schlabach and his brother Markus. It is a 40 acre lake belonging to Gross Lumber. We started out in the back part and caught a few bass on wacky rigged senkos. We walked to the front and me and Mark got in a paddle boat. We fished about halfway around the lake me using a senko and Mark using a texas rigged power worm. We were skipping them under trees and pitching to stickups. We got around 15 bass all around 12 inches. When we got back me and Matt went out and fished all the way around the lake both using wacky rigged senkos. We were still skipping them under trees and to stickups. We probably caught about 40 bass from 8-14 inches and I got one around 17 inches. We got back and Mark had caught 12 on a KVD squarebill. We had a great day catching around 70 bass give or take a few. And today my camera arrived from Steve so now I can get some pics of bass.

I hate days like that, when you catch dinks all day... there's a pond I go to and I have caught easily over 200 bass out of this year and maybe 3 were over 14".. No exaggeration! It has a serious over population issue... Although I did catch a 7 pounder out of there in May of 2010. I stopped fishing there... To me, its just a waste of money I go thru like $10-15 worth of plastics every time.. Haha another reason I stopped going is I got kicked out lol

Nice job Jason. I am sure their are some big ones in their might just take a few trips and bigger baits to get them. Always fun catching bass any way you look at it. Also seems like a good place to try out new baits that you need to work on. Nice report.
