Martins pond is located in North Reading mass. The max depth is only 8 feet and the water is the dirtiest I have ever seen and I fished it once with little luck, but i am strongly belive in the moon phases and it was a bad day according to the moon phases. So I plan to give it another try because it is easy to get too and has an easy boat launche. I was wondering if anyone has fished martins pond and any advice/tips would be greatly appreciated.

If the water is real dirty i would use dark baits with rattles or vibration like jigs with rattles or a balck and blue chatter bait / spinner bait. I'm pretty sure that would be a good start.

Fished there one time for about a hour it was after fishing all morning so my battery was low I didn't venture out to far from the launch caught two bass that wouldn't keep to the left out of the ramp. I was wondering if you heard that its now a no wake lake for the gas motors??? I live pretty close to it but I try to stay where the pleasure boating is to a minimum being in a crawdad.

Fished there again today. Caught a 2.5 pounder but that was really it but i think there is a no wake in effect. I then went to my honey hole and killed it if you have a electric motor PM and ill tell you were it is

Martins pond seems to be one of those lakes or ponds where you will catch 1 fish but the fish you catch should be nice size. The water there is also the ugliest color I have ever seen.
