THE BASS COLLEGE

Had my most productive day fishing this year by far on labor day, yesterday. My wifes sisters husband owns a large community down in the medford lakes area and he as a couple of private ponds there. Since nobody really fishes them as they arent open to the public, the fish are not shy! Caught 9 bass there, 6 of which were 18+ inches and 2 dinks. 1 on a topwater popper, 2 on a damiki red craw shallow crank and the rest on a peanut butter and jelly zman chatterbait, man they were nailing that thing.

Sadly no pics from this outing as i didnt take my phone but when i go again ill be sure to have it on me. He fishes with his kids there on occasion but apart from that not much. Hopefully ill be working my way up to having regular access, lol.

its almost like cheating but its a welcome break from struggling to catch much at all in all the places that are so over fished around here.

i also didnt take much gear with me but next time ill take my swimbait rod and through some of the stuff i havent had a chance to play with much
