So haven't lost many of my jigs lately and have been stocking up as well as slaying fish.  I found my biggest trouble when starting out with jigs was choosing color so I decided to post a pic of what I'm working with and what's been consistent through my experience.  I do want to warn you that the majority of the baitfish in my area are Bluegill, Crappie. Shiners, and some shad, so my collection obviously reflects that.  Majority are Dirty Jigs, but added my Chatterbaits (including the strike king with the best skirt available of all skirts), and some mixture of different style headed jigs given to me by the Legend himself.  I'd prolly add a few more white/chart mixes, but those two new swimjigs (middle row, bottom two) are looking RIGHTTTT 8)

Hopefully this helps some of you just starting out that have just begun to realize the potential of the jig in deciding how to choose through the thousands of colors available.  I love mixing in purples/oranges/blues in with the main colors (pumpkin, watermelon, black, white).  Always seem to outdo the others!

My all time favorite jig color is green pumpkin, possibly with some red flash in it. Its the best in my opinion.

Newark, how do the strike king bladed jigs compare to the Zman baits? I've always liked the strike king skirts but can't find any of the SK chatterbaits locally ( just lots of Zman baits on clearance for $ .99 :D )
