Ventured out to a new small 50 acre pond, there was a huge fish kill here back in 07 and the reason was the pond had gone from 12ft plus back in the 70's to only 1ft max so most of the fish died off and 75% of the pond was dredged in 09. No fish were restocked but some survived. All report I heard said this was the spot for monster back in the day but no fish over 2lb sense the kill.

When I got there today the water was the color of mud you could only see down 3in if you were lucky I was told it has always been this way. This place is littered with random rocks scattering the shore line just below the surface I found this out with my trolling motor and almost took a couple swims . When I saw the water I knew the buzzbait bite would be good and I could end this years buzzbait curse, and tied on 1\2oz green sunfish DJ with a bullfrog speed craw.

First fish came quick on the buzzbait short and fat weighed 2.4 , second fish blew up on the buzz and I threw in the DJ little guy 1.2. The thing I love about dirty water is next cast 2ft to the left under an over hand got a nice 2.14, Started working the buzz over some wood and a 2.6 came up and smashed it then picked up another 13in fish on the clacker buzz it was a little after 8 when the top water bit started to die off so I switch between the swimjig and a chatterbait.  After 45min without a hit I worked a massive "rock flat" with some in 3 fow picked up a 3.3 on the DJ swimjig behind a boulder. Then I was working my way down the shore towards the point and picked up two more fish a 1.12 and a 2lber. At the end of the point there was a fresh lay down from the last storm still had all its leaves. After flipping the outsides I pitched into the hear of the tree and got slammed by a 2.4. Worked the rest of the shore line for an hour with the chater bait with no luck then on my way out I stopped at the huge lay down and first pitch into the tree got a nice 3.8 nothing like setting the hook and hearing the sound of tree limbs breaking. Wasn't a bad four hour trip best 5 was just shy of 15lb.

You should be throwing a Black Clacker Buzzbait, a Big Terminator Thumper spinnerbait, a Black and Blue Chatterbait and a Black and Blue Dirty Jig Swimjig with a big Netbait Paca Craw trailer in Blk Blue Flak, a a big 8-10 inch worm in a dark color.  If you are throwing any other baits you are wasting time. there.
