I have used the o rings with no tool before and they go on pretty easy but somehow I was still losing worms when the bass chucked them in the water.

Does anybody actually prefer the bands vs. just running the hook through the bait? I bought the wacky rig tool and didn't care for the bands. I felt like I was losing fish because when the hook is behind the band it's running parallel with the bait resulting in fewer hook ups. Anyone else feel this way?

I just don't see the need for the band. It can't be that much cost effective?

It helps but I dont like it myself. I like it just right through the worm.

There is a reason why most local tackle shops dont sell the o rings, because they would lose too much money on worm sales. I have asked for them at several places and that is the response I was given. It is a matter of preference, but I prefer the o rings myself. If you have the money to buy pack after pack of senkos, then by all means just hook it through, but if you want to save a few bucks here and there, you will catch more fish on one senko rigged with an o ring than without an o ring. I haven't hooked every single fish using the o rings, but I have caught 90 percent of the bites, but as they say, to each his own...I just made this for people who like to use the o rings and provide a free option for them to try.
