THE BASS COLLEGE

 Haven't been out much lately due to my trolling motor being broken but will be back in business for wednesday just in time for the feeding frenzy. I have been out only twice since the middle of September once with Jimbo down at sawdy last Monday, and I got out today for two hour in the wind before the rain came in again.

 Monday we started late got on the water at 8:30  it was a really tuff day seemed that the fish were real scattered didn't get the first bass till after noon but, we worked off shore most of the day with not much to show for it but a bunch of small slime darts when we got to the far shore after working the middle I hooked up on the dillgill swim jig right up on the bank, then Jim hooked up on a little smallie that shook the jig at the boat, then I was waking the swim jig it what was left of the pads and picked up another keeper all in a 75 yrd stretch of shore. We moved on and I flipped into a sunken boat and got hammer on the fall by a tiny keeper.  Then we worked an Island were Jim broke out the drop shot with a baby rattle snake and picked up two fish around 1lb to 1.4lb and I picked up one small one that would have keeped in the same area. Followed up by one more on the way in i swam the jig parallel to the tullys wile Jim was retrieving a DS weight. It was a really tuff day we got off the water a 5 and has 8 fish in the boat combined with only one being short but nothing over 2lb.

 I did a little shore fishing today at 12 after some errands and only brought three baits a dirty swim jig, char\white spinnerbait, and a chatter bait. The wind was blowing so hard all day but I needed to get out so I delt with it the best I could I managed 3 small fish on the DJ swim jig and a chunky 4lber on the chaterbait, I need to start making my own chatterbait I have had three hooks bend out on me two from casting into docks and one on a hookset and 4 snaps ether break or pop open I love Zman chatter bait action but need something more durable.

If anyone from Cali here can get some Bobby Ds chaterbait id love to try them out but are only sold locally there?
