THE BASS COLLEGE

Sorry, computers been down..............Water temps:50-52 -Winds at 5-10 from west- Mostly sunny.    Me and Lenny(TBC Member) headed out from 7-12 ,3rd cast of the day i hooked in to a nice little smallie in 3-5 f.o.w by exposed rocks .  A few casts later another bass in 3-5. So i figured thats what we fished until something told me different. Well that pattern never changed . we jumped from spot to spot that had exposed rocks in 3-5 and caught them all day. 12 bass. Didn't weigh any , But nothing over 2.5 .  good day anyway. sure beat sitting at home wishing i was fishing. heres a couple pics.All Bass were caught on rattle traps and colorado blade spinner baits in 3-5 f.o.w

went to sawdy pond today for the first time with a friend at 5pm for 30 min.  light drizzle.   he caught 2 bass, 1 on a cordell big o, smokey joe crank bait and a .99 Cent chinese crankbait i got in the mail today from ebay, tiny little crankbait.   kinda looked like a bass maybe a frog.  check out the pic.   and i caught a small bass on a 5" charttruese kalans grub.

not bad for 30 min from the tiny little shore.  lot of weeds and lily pads though, 85% of the pond was covered.

How was the water level?

never been there before but i am assuming it was high, it was rushing 4-6" over the barrier.  i found a small hole in the wall pond last week.   5-6lbs bass sitting 4ft from shore only thing she goes after is pickeral adn sunfish.  she swallowed a 12" pickeral i threw in her bed but the hook didn't stick she has since got wiser and just shoves them off lightly...

crankbaits were both shallow diving 2-4ft and slow constant retrieve.  my grub was on the jigged off bottom in front of the barrier.  i also had a shiner out but nothing took it. 

you need to get out in the main lake. lots of good spots out there.
