I am assuming there are different rules for different clubs and some are 16 some it may be lower. You have to click the links and contact each one until a member makes a post who actually is a member of that club or who has more info.

Maryland Regions There are more than 60 active bass fishing clubs associated with the Maryland BASS Federation Nation These clubs are organized into four separate regions based on where they are located in the state. Clubs manage themselves and often run their own tournaments, have their own officers and hold elections for those officers, participate in MBFN-sponsored tournaments, etc. If you are interested in joining a club in your area, contact one of the Region Directors listed on the Contact Us page. Try this link, it's to the bass federation Maryland. Did not see contact info for youth but did see they have a youth program. Try to contact the President and tell him what you are looking for. This is affiliated with the FLW. Did not see anything on the BASS site for Maryland on the youth progam but you can contact them as well.http://www.mdbass.com/ Good luck and if you need any help let me know. Simon

dude,i started in youth clubs. Where are you from? I know or can get in touch with every youth director. I would advise fishing the youth clubs first before jumping to the adults, because the youth have their own state championships, regionals and nationals and worlds, where you get to fish from the front of the boat, and you will not be ready to fish on the back of a good pros boat. you dont have to pay in youth clubs for anything and you do for adult clubs, if you think our good enough to fish adult clubs and have the money too then fish both, but i would start at youth and perfect flipping, cranking/swim jigs, and drop shotting. You'll kill everyone if you learn those in the youth level , I'm serious. i went far in the youth division before i ever learned to flip or drop shot properly. Now im sponsored and fish pro events and in college, hit me up with a personal message if you live close to western Md or wanna fish somewhere in Md, i mentor a youth member and try and help teach him stuff and give him baits and he got second in states and regionals twice.

There is no age limit on adult clubs, you just have to be 16 to enter bass weekend series , and other pro events as a co. TBF bass club's dont have an age limit i dont think, you just have to have the certification to drive a vessel to operate at the front of the boat, i may be wrong but maybe not hahaha

The Bass Federation (FLW) and The Bass Federation Nation(BASS) is a great starting point for the youth. If you are able to fish others as well that is just a bonus. A youth angler by the name of Jacob Wheeler just won the BFL ALL AMERICAN this past year. I believe just 2 years after the youth program. He will be turning pro this season or next. Looks like Jonathon is willing to help you out as needed. I would jump to the opportunity..

It's actually 15, most bass clubs have a the age limit at 16 though...but for us it's 15. If you can wait one more year you are welcome to check us out! We have had several youth members in the past...I started with FOBA at 15.
