Im going to be getting one of the stradic's im just curious if their is a big difference between the two models. Right now the older model is going for $100-$120, while the new stradic is $180

Nothing wrong with the FI's, they're excellent and comes with spare spool.  The new FJ's no longer comes with the spare spool though.  The higher price is kind of a tough sell.

I personally like the new one better, but you will like both of them I have a Stradic as well as a few other Shimano spinning reels, and they are all fine as I dont use a spinning reel very much except when it is absolutely necessary. Here are all the models here with free shipping. SHIMANO STRADIC<
