Once again the weather was quite nice out but had a windy day but that didn't stop me from going. So once i got out of class around 10:20 am i headed out to my usual pond. Once i got there i saw two small boats already in the pond one was the same i saw the other day. So i only had two rods with me one had the swimbait and another had a small grub but had no luck on it at all casted everywhere with it with no luck. So then i picked up my rod with the swimbait i started casting out retreiving it different ways fast, slow , jerk but no hits on the perch color swimbait. So then i tied another swimbait that was the Storm kickin shad and the 4th cast up again the edge of the bank BANG a small bass hit it hard. Not bad for a windy day catching bass. I kept at it but no hits. So then another person came to fish the place pond but standing on the other side of spillway. So i casted my swimbait agian and retreiving it slowly and looked the other way and wasn't paying to much attention to my swimbait i though i hooked on to a fish but wouldn't you know it i SNagged the swimbait. Dang i couldn't believe it i lost it ohh well have to buy another one. So then i went and talked to the person fishing the other side and then i hear "Teach Me Teach Me" and i was suprised to see DICKLY walking towards me with his rod rigged with a bill lewis rattle trap. He commented to me that he barley just came from INgrams pond and caught two Chain Pickerel on the RattleTrap so we were there for a while talking about all the ponds and fishing related topics. It was nice talking to him to maybe next time we'll fish that spot more on both sides. So after talking to him i left and went home then i came back at 5pm and i eventually caught a small bass on the perch swimbait retreiving it very slowly and she slammed the bait. I had taken the pic in the morning but could't post it. HOPEFully ALAN can post it cause it send him a txt.

If you are that persistent, then you need to enter just a copule of the BFL or Bassmaster Weekend series on the Potomac as a coangler. It is cheap enough, you will learn WAY more, get to fish with some good guys, catch fish and get great video, learn as much in 6 months as it would take in 3 years just here alone, and still have a chance to win a couple thousand dollars while you do it.

Hey Dubi, after I left you had a few stops to make. On the way home stopped at Burtons. Four pickerel in 20 mins. all on the trap. Think I'll drive up to Diamond tomorrow (something to do). Lol.

Lesson learned. Don't go fishing without your needlenose pliers. Pickerel are no fun taking off without pliers. And gloves, yuk. Lol.

If Alan would get his boat registered or if somebody bought mine I can show you a place where you could catch 50 chain pickerel in one day and some bass mixed in it but not from shore.

Steve, that sounds fun and all, but I think my arm and pliers would be tired and broken after all that " capturing for consumption"......by birds and turtles And we put in the papers, just waiting for the trailer tag.
