shooot 50 degree weather? I'm wearing a long sleeve tee and sweatpants! it's usually below freezing when I fish for steelhead up in NY and lately it's been mid 30's here. The gloves I found work best I got from walmart. Full wool mittens that have finger cut outs. So you can use them as gloves (with the mitten part velcroed back) or full out winter mittens. Best part, the wool doesnt retain water and dries quickly after reaching in to get a fish. Especially important when holding those trout a minute or two to let them regain their strength. If you look at some of my last reports, you'll see the ones I'm wearing/talking about.

Wool half-finger gloves or neoprene if it's raining and cold.

@ Scottie, any brands in particular you'd suggest? I use to wear batting/golf gloves but theyre too thin, wind goes right right the holes in them. plus when wet, they're useless

Mechanics gloves work and X amour tight fits are great. Always could use jersey gloves. 1 dollar a pair, just get plenty if they get wet. The only gloves that I have found to keep my hands dry are neoprene gloves but the are not very casting friendly.
