Went out fishing early morning today at about 6 am and started of throwing a buzzbait and the a mouse buzzbait made by ajjures and managed to catch some fish but nothing big, i was planning on going around 5 but it looked like it was going to poor witch it never did of course, but i think if i would have went around 5 i would of caught more on the buzzbaits. Then started throwing a 6 inch bbz 1 slowsink swimbait in sexy lavavnder shad and caught about 6 off that bait but again no giants. The after the clouds went away and the wind picked up i used a dropshot rig with a half ounce weight and a 3/0 trokar straight shank worm hook and used it as a texas rig on my dropshot to make it weedless and was using a ragetail anaconda and had 8 fish pick the bait up i set the hook had them on for a second and then got off, didnt have anytime left to keep trying but i will go back later on in the day to see if that dropshot will get some bigger fish or not.

If you lost that many fish on it make sure your hook is sharp before you go back. That could be the problem.

I don't think that the straight shank hook is the answer for your drop shot rig. I'd use a smaller hook 1/0 2/0 at the most and a drop shot hook. The Trokar drop shot hook would be a great hook to use. You might also want a smaller profile worm. When I'm drop shoting I'm using a 4in zoom finesse worm or a robo worm

thanks for the tips bassin, i usually do use a 1/0 or 2/0 drop shot hook but i saw a video, it was a pro but forgot his name, he used a 3/0 trokar hook and rigged it up as a dropshot and made it weedless and he was using an 8 inch curlytail worm, so i thought i would try it as well but im gonna go back and make some adjustments to it and see if i can get better hook ups. thanks for the tips!
