Have had nano-fil on mine for the better part of the year and still casting like a dream.  I don't need a floro leader in my parts but if the water is clear then you could tie one on.

Hey I use 14lb berkley vanish fluoro on my Abu Garcia orro spinning reel on my Big bear 7" 3/4 heavy rod and I only use this to trow my 3/8 oz atomic custom baits skirted darthead jig! Every time before I get on the water the morning of a tournament I will spray down my line with line conditioner and I will tie my line to a pole and walk my line off the reel about a 70 to 100 yds close my bail and stretch my line hold the spoole! Then I will reel my line back on holding some tension while reeling it back on the spooleand I will teel you that works great!

Fluoro line deffinitly has a place and a time in are world of fishing yet if you are having a problem you can always use braid with about 15' to 30' of fluoro lead tied on and get the same results and not have to worry about line twist! I hope some of this info will help you put more fish in the boat with more injoyment! Tight lines my friend!

You wont have any problems really if you use SUNLINE. LOL How do I know? I have been using it all year and testing it on video, and its not even close to other lines. Its the best there is hands down. welcome to the site Bud Glad to have you here.

When I switched to a swivel head drop shot weight it really cut really down the twist, and Tom is right, manual.
