Went out from 4:30 am until 8 am today with Ryan before he had to go to work. It was 86 degrees and humid at 5 am, and we started with Assassinator buzzbaits, but had no takers. We went to the jigs with Grandebass Megaclaws trailers and right away Ryan caught the 6 1/2. Then a few docks down he caught the next one at about 4 pounds. I ran with the outboard to next best docks and caught one that was easily 6 pounds on the first cast and got it in the boat, and before I could turn the camera on it flipped out of Ryans hands into the water. I was sick, but took it well. lol Then I caught another on the seawall on the way back in that went 4 pounds. We loaded up the boat and left with 4 fish that went about 19 pounds. Not bad for the 11th day of a heat wave at 100 degrees. We'll be back after the storms get out of here next week and the temps drop and see what happens. | |
