I havent been to the upper Bay since the spring this year, We're spending all our time on the Potomac now. I think a few others have been though. If I were limited to the Sassafras though, I would head straight into Halls fish it on the outgoing tide with RC 1.5s, an Assassinator spinnerbit and flip a Dirty jig in right behind into the laydowns, get what I could, get out head straight to Llyods Creek and spend the entire rest of the time in there in the grass, Marsh Reeds at the point, and laydowns with all the same baits and a Rat L trap and plastics mixed in, thats what I would do.

Thanks for the info Steve I"ll give it a shot .I've got one more question for you .I have read some of your articles on Lloyds creek ,when you talk about the enterance to Lloyds creek are you referring to the narrow spot that leads into the house with the dock out front thats closer to Turner creek or are you talking about the little cut that leads you into the center of the cove

I know this is late, but Lloyds has become the new raft up spot for the people with the big cruisers. If you plan on fishing it get there early before they all get there, because after they show up, you've got a better chance catching something in your bathtub.

I caught 2 bass on video there that went 5 lbs, with Kurt, on a Yamamoto IKA tube, with the yachts all around us, but he's right it gets a lot of traffic. That video is still up i think in the main video section.

Those people have been partying in that creek for years. You can still catch them in there on the right tide, the bass are used to it! lol

LOL.....TOM. The Sass can be red hot at times but generally August is a tough month. Main bay grass or offshore ledges in the northeast are the way to go in August.

This is ALL the UPPER BAY and the Potomac at the end. As good as it was in its hey day, which this video is, it is not a third of what the Potomac is.
