Toledo Bend was very hard to fish this weekend. NWTF Big Bass Tournament showed everyone how hard it is to fish in a tournament and even the best of the best have a bad day. As far as the Lake Report, Carolina Rig with a Candy Red 10" worm or Purple Plum 10" worm. Fish were being caught in 25 to 40 ft of water with Crank Baits (Deep Diver) in a Fire Tiger (before sun was above tree level) and Shad (after sun was above tree level).  1st place 10.86 on a Carolina Rig,  2nd place 10.62 on a Crank Bait, and 3rd place 9.04 on a Carolina Rig. I caught a 4.14 at 6:15am on a Fire Tiger Crank Bait around 18 to 20 ft down. 235 participants and supposedly only 65 fish weighed. It was very hot this weekend and the water was 87 to 91 degrees. Full Moon on Friday going into Saturday which allowed the Bass to feed all night. Good Time as always when on the water.

If you are heading out to THE BEND anytime soon I can tell you that you may want to take an Umbrella Rig, Chatterbaits, and some Lake Fork Live Magic Shad. You can get all of this through Tackle Warehouse. BIG BASS are smashing these products no matter what the weather conditions are.
