Fished Pomptom Lake yesterday which was our third srtait day on the water. This was our first time on the lake and right from the start I could tell it had potential. The docks and the weed edges looked aewsome! Unfortunatly the bite was slow because of a front that was moving in. Early on in the day I caught a few 2 pounders on a baby brush hog just working it right off the edges of the matt in like 6 to 8 feet. Then we started frog fishing and we both missed some BIG blowups. The bite really slowed and the wind picked up. I knew the bass were going to be really lethargic so I switched to a small 1/4th ounce booyah sipnnerbait and started slow rolling in. Made a cast under a willow tree and BOOM this really nice on hit it. Lost some others later in the day.

Really nice bass and for up there its even better. Now, start working on why you may have lost the ones you did? Think about what may have caused it, Tackle? Poor Hook set? Skill in playing them? etc then work on that here and we'll help. Tight lines | |
