I have a Johny Morris myself and I to have been pleasantly surprised I love it.

hey all, wanted to report on the rod and reel set-up i got a few weeks back. i bought the b.p.s. carbonlite rod its 7' mh power and fast action. i paired it with the johnny morris gold series baitcaster. the rod is awesome it has the back bone to fight large fish, but its still sensitive enough to feel the slightest tap. i would recommend this rod to anyone, but be careful the handle end is gloss coated and will chip if not careful. the rod is also quiet stiff so smaller softbait are hard to work with alot of finesse until you get the feel for the rod. now the reel, its my first baitcaster so i dont have much to compare it to but, i learnt how to cast in two hours, i've gotten few birds nest ( and when i do they are not sevre ) and this thing will cast effortlessly. not much of a down side yet would recommend to anyone. hope this helps anyone looking for a new set-up.
