he;s 100% right about the jerkbaits awesome right after ice-out and into the pre-spawn , my favorite is the daiwa db minnow and i also throw the OLDER bagely top guns you can find them on ebay once in awhile the #4 and i also throw the slender pointer 97 all great baits in the spring
