The first I've seen anybody talk about using it. I pride myself on keeping an open mind about new fishing innovations but this is one that I'm truly having a hard time liking. Yea I know, the saltwater boys have been using it for quite some time; the pros have been using it in their tourneys. Doesn't mean the rest of us should. In the wrong hands it will be a nasty tool used to abuse limits. It would be different if it was just a matter of having 5 teasers surrounding a central single hook but it's not ... This is one case of what's good for the goose isn't necessarily good for the gander. Yea I know, who's to say it's not already being used by poachers for just that purpose but that doesn't mean we should embrace it's use by general fishing public. For those uninformed, with the wrong equipment, the rig will end up being a source of frustration; wiith alot of cut line and multiple fish hookups left to die and rot in our waters. Worse, a potential source of unwanted attention by our friends the Anti's.

This is one fishing tool I'm not sure our fishing community needs. Just my @.02.

I make a living doing this so I am using it in the Spring. Today I saw 2 people fishing from shore with shiners and 5 rods and they had 10 bass on a stringer, all completely legal and they did more harm than any Alabama rig. People that would abuse this are not skilled enough to do it. They would never spend enough money on specialized rods, line, and reels to throw it in the exact right areas at the right times, to abuse anything.
