It was a smallmouth sight fishing bonanza, I will post more details later, but most of them were caught on dropshot with a kerrlicious roboworm, the water was super clear with visibility to around 20' plus. Fished a tournament on Sat and had 15.73lbs, not near enough this week, but it was fun and I thought we did ok. Last week it would have made us a check but this week was a big bass slugfest. More and more smallmouth bass are starting to move up shallow and fanning out beds already, and they are being caught on jigs and plastics. But this action is just starting. The largemouth bass are still suspended out in 20 to 30 feet with little action. - | |
