the season has started. with the water and weather getting stable .lake erie smallies are bitting .  from live bait to tube jigs. they will put smallmouth in the boat . emerald shinners are the bait of choice . riged on a three way .drifting across rocky points and gravel beds. plastic baits (tubes) in green pumpkin and melon pepper. draging or casting back to the boat is producing nice fish . verticle jigging also is a great way to catch lake erie smallies in deeper water. the warmer the water gets the better the fishing gets . looking for a great time out on erie. look me up .
