Never used the shad but been using the Space Monkey all summer and caught a lot of fish on it. Good luck and looking forward to see how you make out with it.

The secret to the Rage Tail is the unique ridge which runs along the edge of the tail. This ridge acts as a funnel channeling water through the length of tail creating turbulence and vibration. You won't believe the splash, noise and action that the rage tail design produces! The Rage Shad is best rigged weightless with the tail up on a 4/0 to 6/0 wide gap hook and fished on top of the surface for some awesome top water action.

The ragetail shad is an excellent bait. It runs well over matted grass and really calls em up. It doesn't work all the time as sometimes those fish want a slower topwater but if they are active it is my buzzfrog of choice.

I cant watch this vids so i dont know if it has been mentioned but what helped me make them finaly work was keeping a low rod tip so your not lifting it, I naturaly started fishing it like a buzz where i like a medium high rod tip so i can lower then hook to help keep from premature hook sets also as weird as it may sound i feel as though this way you can slow it down a bit good luck if nothing else just keep at it untill you find what works for you

I love all the Rage Baits !!! Love throwing the Dirty Swim Jig with a Space Monkey. Caught some real big fish on doing that this year.

I have stuck a lot of good fish on Stick marsh and the big O with a white/pearl Rage Shad. They catch fish reel good and I believe the fish get the bait in there mouth deeper and faster then they do a buzzfrog as its more compact and this allows for more hooked fish and a better hookup to landing ratio as well. The baits also skip very well, I fish them on 55# Daiwa braid on a Steez Compile-X 7'1 and a Zillion Type R this is a skipping and heavy cover machine. I catch most fish running it down heavy matted up Hydrilla lines about 1 foot off the grass line most times running it pretty fast and then pulling it in to dips on the grass edge and stopping it and letting it fall in the dips that has pulled a few 7 and 8lb fish this summer and many 5's. Theres no doubt that when used in certin ways this bait is very deadly and will pull large fish, another thing its good at is pitching to holes in matted up Hydrilla rigged with a 1/8th oz Owner swim bait hook so theres some weight to pull it down in the holes and that will pull some big fish as well. it also comes through lilly pads very well and when it hangs up in the vees of one its smaller profile will pull through the vees better then wider buzz frogs will.
