what do you guys personally consider a "good" day of fishing? fish quantity, just a really huge bass, something odd? etc. What typically makes your day? For me personally, just one giant bass can make my day... or a bunch of little guys. but a day with no fish.. usually isn't too good. I'm all about the action.

Not loosing baits.lol... Not getting skunked is a good day.

if i catch a fish i am happy if i catch a hog im reaaly happy but im wth scott loosing baits stinks and not catching anything is worse

for me its just being on the water! i know for me when i figure them out in a tough situation when other people cant thats very rewarding to me.and another thing i get more excitment learning new stuff and baits and techniques. so for me its all about figuring out the puzzle. and as far as size goes anyone can get lucky and catch 1 big one , id rather figure out a pattern and catch 20 small ones

if i get at least 1 fish it is a good day but no fish is a bad day of fishing

try to learn something new matt and takes notes EVERYTIME you go and thats not a bad day.

Im with Tom on this, I like figuring out a consistent pattern and gettin on em! Catching quality fish usually comes with tweaking and/or refining the pattern.

I agree with a couple of you guys, but i just love being out there. I would be upset if i got skunked but the good old saying is a bad day on the water is better than a good day at work.In my case better than a good day of school!

i completely agree with the losing baits thing lol that always kinda depresses me.

i need to set my standards lower. i'm always hoping for quantity and hogs. haha i need to learn to appreciate whatever i can get

If I don't get skunked, or if I learn something that I will be able to use next time then it is a good day.

thats a really good way to look at it Tom. i guess that's what really separates an educated fisherman from the rest of em'. i like that pattern idea. that seems much more rewarding.

For me a good day is being able to find the pattern and catch decent sized bass and not lose them. but honestly, at this point it is not what I call a really good day without at least one trophy class bass. 

A good day for me is to be able to go outfishing weather isn't going to hold me back.:D Yeah i also agree with everbody else trying to figure out the pattern as much as i can from shore. And to a least catch a fish and not to lose any lures.

I had a few great days on the frog, 28 nice bass in 2 1/2 hours with a 7' Medium rod

for me a good day isss

-catching numbers of bass orr

-catching big bass

a bad day

-losing a numer of baits

-gettting skunked

Anytime I am on the water enjoying myself. If I am not enjoying my day then it's a bad day. Always nice to catch them but you have to learn sometimes. Take what they give ya and hopefully you learn something.

I good day is being out on the lake fishing. A great day is the samething with the addition of catching fish. Then there are those days that only come along once in a while. You are either catching fish no matter what you throw or  you catch a trophy size fish, or both!

I think a good day is just being out on the lake fishing. A really good day is bunch of fish - any size. A great day is mastering a new technique and catching a hog on it.
