Nice weather or not, ( nice prefered) Im going to take the yak to burtons the second weekend of Feb. to get off shore. Which part do you think would be the best part? I was thinking that cove by the dam as that is where steve got the nice fish on the hudd and the monster on it also. What do you delaware guys think would work? If anyone else has a canoe/kayak or would possibly hit the shore let me know.

I don't know anything about fishing there, but I do know if you tip your kayak it will take approximatley 823,948 hours to thaw out! lol

The fish all are down in the center off the road wall and half way up it is really easy if you just go around and around in that area only, The rest id too shallow and clear less than 1 foot and it concentrates them all into the bottom 1/3 of the pond half way our from shore.

So go about to the dam, and straight out how far steve? Its a pretty big pond lol, im wondering if its worth anchoring or just paddling, depends on the wind.

It is 10 acres. It is only 100 yards across. They are all right out there its easy they are all in an area smaller than your entire pond at your house. The whole upper 2/3 is out. The shore out to 20 yards is out, that does not leave much else. lol

They are more finicky and harder to catch than other Delaware bass they are just bigger now. They are line shy. They are used to standard baits.
