Hey guys, I haven't been on in a while. I was moving from Va to Jacksonville Florida. I did see the posts about out of state fishing reports and well I went out the first time down here this morning. I checked out a local retention pond near an abandon subdivision. Saw some decent 2-3 pounders in it as well as bream(that is what the folks call bluegills down here) and minnows a few days before. This morning was clear, about 64-66 degrees, no wind the water felt fairly warm to the touch(has been in the 80's day time for the last 4 weeks since we arrived). Arrived at about 6:40 still was pretty dark. the sun start to peek over the horizon at about 7. I began throwing a Rebel Pop R the black with holo silver side, it is a 50th anniv 2 pack i picked up at gander. around 7 i switched to a T-rigged rattlesanke in trophy and was swimming it and hopping it over the weeds. this pond has a ton(as most in the area). nothing on either. About 7:20 I switched back to the rebel. Ten minutes later I was ready to leave, two more casts the first one to the weeds....yank it out. In my haste I do not check the line. Next cast...you see it coming don't you.....pop-pop- pause..BAM! set the hook, a crank and a half and SNAP!....That ended my day. Wasn't a complete loss I was happy I hooked up with one. I planned on taking my boy there tomorrow. Sorry no pics, but I will get some tomorrow. I also plan on maybe checking another pond out Sun. I appologize if the format of this is wrong, I know Steve said not to worry he would clean it up. Let me know guys what else I can do to help improve these I will continue to write them in you all are interested.

Well me and my son went out Sat for 2 hrs, from about 7 to 9 am same pond as before. it was in the high 60's low 70's. Partly cloudy to start then mid way through the sun broke through. at about 10 am a set of storms rolled through and it rained most of the day. we started out throwing the Rebel pop r, couple different worms, some small crank baits and we got nothing. didn't see any fish til the end the Bluegills started showing up around the edges like usual. We also checked another pond out that was linked with a pipe. It was much clear, almost gin clear, with less vegitation but has a ton of little minnows didn't see anything, ran some crank baits through for five or ten mintues. I was going to go out this morning and fish some and get pics but I am sick. I am planning on Wed now. I may try out a new pond in a couple local busness parks on Friday. keep you posted.

SOFT PLASTICS in RED SHAD colors you are in Florida. Then throw swimbaits for bigger fish and PUNCH MATS. Watch some punching videos here in the main video section. Thats what i would do there.

Cool thanks for the tips. I just got the mega tail rattle snake in red bug. Reading around I saw reds and June bug were popular colors down here. I do need more red though, most of the colors I have are greens. I will have to check the VIds out.

Here is a place I fished yesterday it was calm, overcast with some periods of light rain. It is a creek/swamp that is a canoe trail to the St. Johns. the water is stained like the color of tea, 3-6 feet is visible depending on shadows and light. There is grass and lilies, but the main channel is pretty open with only large tree branches with a silty bottom. I havent tried accessing other than off the main dock/launch area. spot might be promising if I can get some access to other .
I also fished a big pond behind the shopping center near me. It has a bluegills, I saw a dust cloud of something a decent size, worked it on Wed for about 30 mintues with a red bug mega tail. it was overcast and in the high 60's. all the times I have been out this week were between 6:40 and 7:35 am. Sorry no pics yet. My wife just found a nice park, with a large pond she said she saw people fishing so I might check it out. I believe my neighbor mentioned it so might have heavy pressure. will take pics and let u guys know. I will keep working them til I figure out what the hell I am doing and hopefully get some useful info and pics of fish up.

Here is how you post a picture in the forums. If you want them in a gallery album, you just notify ALAN ROSENBERGER and He'll set it up. STEP1: Go to a hosting site and set up a free account to host your pictures. This can be done a lot of places but PHOTOBUCKET works best. It is free. Go here> PHOTOBUCKET.COM STEP 2: Upload your pictures there at photobucket and after they upload you will notice that they give you 7 options for posting them somewhere else. such as html, and many others including a "DIRECT LINK". Choose this option to post them here in the forums. STEP 3: Left click on the direct link URL at photobucket on the picture that you want to appear. Then right click on it and click copy. (Some browsers like Mozilla already copy it for you when you left click). STEP 4: In a separate browser window have the site here open so that you can keep repeating this process for multiple pictures without going back and forth opening new windows. Or If you just have one picture dont worry about it. Come to your post here and you will see a little blue square next to the smiley face and after the link icon and that is for a picture. You click the blue box and a box opens on the screen and asks for a "URL" of the picture. Put the curser in the empty space, and right click the mouse and press "PASTE" The URL from photobucket for your picture that you copied will apppear in the box. Click ok, and the picture will appear in the post. Thats it. If it does not work it is because of the settings that you made on your computer or the browser that you are using. It is not the site. Switch to MOZILLA FIREFOX or GOOGLE CHROME and you will not have a problem anymore. IF YOU HAVE A LOT OF PICTURES YOU CAN EMAIL THEM TO SCOTTIE AND HE WILL MAKE YOU YOUR OWN ALBUM IN THE GALLERY!
Seems that there is still a few people having problems posting pictures, hopefully this will clear them up, its very simple and possibly easier then following a video. 1. Create a photobucket account, it is free, all online sites accept photobucket, able to hold as many photos as you want. 2. Click " Upload Now " 3. Click the green box in the center of the screen labeled " Select Photos and Videos " 4. Find you photo files on your computer, click one to upload individually or hold CTRL and click to upload multiple photos/videos at the same time.
5. Click " Open " in the bottom right hand corner, you will then be directed here where you can view photo/video upload progress.
6. Once all uploads are finished, click the blue button that says " View Album "
7. Hover your cursor over the picture you wish to post and find the " Direct Link "
8. Click the direct link and it will automatically copy the direct link.
9. Find the thread you wish to post the photo to and click " Post Reply "

Stopped by walmart picked up a couple of cheap buzzbaits, found 10 inch Red Shad ribbon tail worms, and they had a sale on Owner hooks $2.00 a pack so I grabbed a couple of those as well. We will see how this works out, cold front just came through so it might not be until mid week I get near the water again. Thanks for all the info/tips from everyone, it is appreciated.

Well I went out, and not to the pond I posted pics to but to the pond behind the grocery store. It was about 6:36 and in the low to mid 60's partly cloudy, a little foggy or smokey(wild fires stinking the joint up down here). Only there til around 7 am.
Throwing a walmart buzz bait($1) Green/Chart...... So I might invest in a better quality buzz bait in the near future. Payday is friday Thanks for the help.....Tommorrow I will hit up the "rat water" and see what I can pull out of the weeds there. (I read the pic post, pasted the direct link as mentioned...sorry if it is still wrong. I won't post pics until I go to a new spot or catch one so that might not be for a while)

THIS IS STEP 10 IN THE POST ABOVE. You have to hit direct link like you did, then there is a little blue box on the toolbar at the top of the post body. Click it and then paste it in the pop up box that comes up. Then the pics will show up.
