The Bass College

Me and matt went to the private 25 acre lake that we can fish yesterday. We were there from 10-5 and it was about 90* and partly cloudy. The water wasn't nearly as clear as usually, it had about 5 feet of visibilty compared to the normal 15-20 ft. We started off doing some deep cranking along the banks (they drop off really quickly) and caught most of our fish like that. I was using my only deep crank, an old Bagley's DB-3 in firetiger color. Matt was using a Norman dd 22 in the purple shad color, I can't remember the name right now. We also caught some skipping a spro popping frog and jigs under the overhanging trees. We caught 35 bass all between 12 and 15 inches. Most of the ones we caught on the cranks were off the bank about 10-17 feet in 10-15 feet of water. The ones we caught skipping were right up against the bank in 3-7 feet of water. Here is what most of our fish looked like. I haven't been to any real lakes in a while because the guy who takes me is taking another kid a few times. But I should have some reports in a week or two if we go.
