Topic: pond behind house 7/17/12

Went out behind my house today to seeif I could catch the beast that broke me off a few weeks ago. Started throwing a black emerald bitters buzzing gator on my frog outfit. After 4 or 5 casts I was about to tie on a buzzbait and decided oh hell, why not one more...BOOM!! Fish on! This 7.8 pound beast jumped out of the water like a great white and smashed my frog! She pulled drag and went airborne a couple times and than I got her to the grass. Once there she just shook her head. I than managed to haul her up over the grass and get her to shore.

heres a shot of the pond, you can see the trail where I dragged her up and over the jungle!

heres a pic of the buzzing gator. Its the black frog like lure not the skinny dipper. Thats the only color I throw down here!

Nice catch,did you try fishing waders to get closer to the water.Those gater baits look like a junebug color with red specks.

No waders in this pond...there a 10ft gator in it! The color is Black Emerald. And no thats not the one that broke me off.... Theres bigger fish in there!
