The Bass College

I fished for a short period today due to the lack of shade and hot temps. I threw 4'' hudds on 40lb braid like Zack recommended and every bass that bit the bait I landed . The hook was NOT coming out on these babies. One of them swalllowed it so bad It took a while to get it out without tearing the inside of the fish up. If i would have stayed longer I was going to throw 6'' hudds and the 6'' Osprey but the heat was getting me.

This fish broke me off last week and when I caught it today it had a torn up hudd in it's mouth.

what are good swim baits for jersey?

i never threw any because most look like fish that aren't in the lakes i fish.

nice its pretty cool you got it back.. a bit of mend it and its as good as new.

Thanks. Some of them last a bit but one of them today was hammered after the first bass lol.

I use trout baits and very few lakes here even have trout it doesn't matter

Exactly, Iv'e caught bass on 6'' hudds in  yellow perch color and there were no perch present.

i had no idea i really have to give them a try now
