After the opening of more than 17 flood gates and the cancelling of the Elite Series event, the Upper Bay has seen some big changes!
The number one and most important change was the grass, or should I say, lack of! This was a major factor in the size and numbers of bass being brought to scales on the upper bay, that now is almost non existant.

Little less than a year ago Clent Davis was contemplating giving up the sport of professional bass fishing for good. Now, he’s the Forrest Wood Cup champion.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — For the second time in the 2018 Bassmaster Elite Series season, B.A.S.S. was forced to postpone an Elite event because of massive flooding and unsafe boating conditions. And for the first time in Elite Series history, one of those events has been canceled altogether, the organization announced today

The Bassmaster Elite Series will once again be at the Upper bay this time launching from Flying Point Park on Day one and two and weighing in at the same location. After the day-three weigh-in at the FLW Tour event presented by Mercury on Lake St. Clair, then-leader Dylan Hays said whoever cracked 25 pounds between he, Chad Grigsby and Brad Knight would win. He was right.

You know it never ceases to amaze me! People always comment on how we don't need any social programs to help people out, they make comments on donating time,products and money to all kinds of organizations, and say we can do it all ourselves, yet when I ask for donations to help the kids and military programs get free baits and tackle or offer to go out and teach them tips and locations and tactics for tournament fishing on lakes or rivers for free, they click like but dont donate or respond ...Read Full Post »
